Gear box

The gear box came just in time to make its maiden voyage with this family of four to a week’s vacation at the lake. It made an absolutely fantastic camp kitchen / pantry! It is a sturdy as advertised as it held up to my two and four year old using it to sit on while we ate lunch. My only suggestion is being able to have a horizontal divider system as well as the vertical ones you currently offer. It would be nice to have the option to make the gear box have two tiers or a “double decker” so things only needed for later in the trip can be separated by the early use items by having them layered top to bottom. Otherwise this gear box is an absolute must item for this family’s future travels!

Thanks so much for sharing your experience with the gear box! And, thank you for the feedback on creating some layered organization. We have something in the works that may help with that. Stay tuned. We'll also be starting our community forum soon to provide an even better method for collecting all of the great ideas that might turn into future products or enhancements. In the meantime, one of the things some customers have done to create layered compartments, is to attach a divider horizontally to the top accessory rail, allowing it to hinge from there, rather than being fixed in place vertically. That compartment is just a couple inches deep, but also serves as a small platform for holding tools, drinks, etc. when the gear box is open. I'll send you an email separately with a photo. - Greg

The Kitworks Gear Box is designed to go far beyond a basic bin (or duffel or tote…). We build the products super-tough and back everything for a lifetime. The Gear box is RF welded for durability and waterproofness. It’s collapsable, stackable to 250 lbs, and dividable. You can add pockets to the inside so small things don’t fall to the bottom - or to the outside, for easy access. It uses open standards for attachment, so you can add thousands of third party MOLLE or velcro compatible organizers. We think it’s the hardest working, most organized gear box that exists.

And, why don’t we include dividers? Because not everyone needs them. Some people are setting up their system for ski gear. Others for camp kitchens. Others for hauling kids gear. All of these uses require different setups. We want you to be in charge of that - not us :-).

We understand that our gear isn’t for everyone. But it is made for those that value flexibility, durability, and staying organized over the long haul.

Love the Gear Box .... would love one even more if it was smaller!

Love the over all design and flexibility of configuration of the system ... they are pretty stout too! .... I would love it if they made a smaller Gear Box in the same size as the 35L Tote! It would fit perfectly between the seats of my Sprinter van!! Please consider that please!!

Love this gear box, I use it to organize and store my winter gear. The divider and other accessories help to keep everything neat and in its place.
